Let's get a group discount at Design Week

I'd love to get a group of independent designers together to go to Design Week Portland. Main stage tickets are $275 per person if we get a group of 5 or more, instead of $395 an individual ticket. Want to join and learn stuff together?

Call for Entries - Pizza Paddle Design

Join IDL Worldwide for our 3rd annual Design Fight Club, a Design Week Portland event. This year's Crossover theme celebrates the intersection of creativity across disciplines. We are inviting creative thinkers from seemingly disparate ends of the spectrum to come together for an event that plays on Portland's unique crossover of food and design culture.    Part of the event will feature some of Portland's big name chefs in a pizza making experience, and this pizza undertone will be played out in the gallery itself. That's where you come in. We invite you to get saucy and creative as you design your very own pizza peel (or paddle if you prefer) that will hang gloriously on display throughout the event.   Here's the scoop:    ·      Provide design intent for your peel by EOD Wednesday March 29th. Let us know what you intend to create. Share your design, inspiration and plan to execute (Will it be painted? Etched? Decoupaged?) ·      We will select winning designs and inform applicants on Friday March 31st. ·      Winners can pick up their peels on or after March 31st, and have until EOD Tuesday April 25th to execute your paddle and drop off at IDL. ·      You may submit up to 5 concepts for consideration, and any or all of them may be selected. ·      Feel free to play off of the Crossover theme, or come up with something entirely new and different. Keep in mind that this is an all ages community event. ·      Peels must be able to hang on a wall, so only 1 side will be visible and the under side must be flat. ·      We will provide the orientation of your peel, as it will hang either facing up or down. ·      Pizza peel dimensions: 16” x 18” with a 24” handle   If you're interested in participating, please email Sonya Klinger, IDL Marketing Coordinator at    Design Fight Club: Crossover will take place on Thursday April 27th from 5-9pm at Gallery 135/IDL Worldwide. 135 NW Park Ave. Free. All Ages. Tunes. Booze. Pizza. It'll be a good time, as always.    Please reach out with any questions and happy paddling!
